It's a great power supply when you're looking for a 1kW. I wasn't a huge fan of the GPU cable as it has 2 end connectors rather than just allowing me to only use the 1 as in my setup, so the look is not so good, but it is easy to get mod cables anyway so I will be doing this.
My recommendation would be to buy the Corsair RMx/i series and advanced because oh my gosh it was at least less variable in noise production compared to Seasonic. To add icing on the cake, my brother bought Seasonic's Flagship Prime 650W PSU and it had the same loud coil whine as my Seasonic 460FL...
Mini ITX case is the Thermaltake F1 Suppressor; and it's sitting on the table in my silent room so I can easily pick up noise I7 6700 ASUS Dual GTX 1070 (do NOT get this) -gamed at 1080p in Overwatch and WoW maxed settings Corsair is much less heavy in weight and noise.
In order of purchase date: -460 FL: The loudest electronic noise out I heard of the bunch and that I've ever heard of; It's a mix of buzzes and clicks like a quiet but cheap hard drive; Was not tolerable to the slightest.
We switched to these aty work a year ago. I've always been impressed by the fan turning off under low load. So when I decided to build a new pc and focus on making it quiet, this was an easy choice.
My good old trusty Enhance ENP-5150GH finally gave up after more than 10 years of service. Looking for a replacement that hopefully will last as long. This is a very good replacement for me after some research. Very nice PSU and easy to install.
80 gold; more than enough connections; very quiet; 10 years warranty

I am using this with my Sabertooth z87 mother board, with an i7-4770k @ 3.50 GHz, two samsung SSD 500gb, 2x 8gb memory sticks, my dvd-r and a big and beautiful memory card. The unit was easy to install. It's powerful, quiet and makes it easy to upgrade with multiple plugins for each cable.
I personally went for it because of the 10-year warranty and the fully modular design. Very sleek and very quiet when the fan is in operation. Apart from the specifics, included is a handy bag to store the cables you are not using and a single USB motherboard header cable for the monitoring...
Bought this to replace a PSU that failed. Runs quiet ( or at least quieter than my GPU, which is all I ever hear ). Fully modular cabling made it easier to retrofit by letting me replace the cables before swapping out the actual PSU unit.
Constant power, no "sparks"
The RM1000i isn't cheap, clocking in at £144.95 from Overclockers UK . Of course, the old saying that you get what you pay for rings true and there's no doubt that this is a premium quality product. I'm very impressed by the latest Corsair power supply.
Fully modular cables; Incredible seven-year warranty; Exceptional ripple suppression; Semi-passive design; Fan-test button; Corsair Link; Great for overclocking; Ideal for multi GPU systems; Switchable single/multiple 12v rail; Sense wires + extra capacitors for voltage and ripple regulation
