When it comes to power supplies there are always a few names I always recommend and Corsair is

– Great performance; – Zero RPM fan; – Works with Corsair Link; – 80PLUS Platinum certified; – 7 year warranty; – Fully Modular

Corsair HX1200i

The Corsair HX range of power supplies kickstarted the company's move into premium PSUs back in 2006. The range survives almost 10 years later and is now equipped with higher-performance internals, better aesthetics and improved cabling.

Looks good; Very consistent performance; Fan remains off up to 480W; Flat cabling

daddykins

This daddy is running 10 hard drives (8x 3.5 2x 2.5), 1x Geforce 1080 TI, 2x Geforce 970, PCI USB extension card and an OC Kaby Lake (5Ghz) - it does this with no issues whatsoever.

Built like a modern main battle tank

This is not Corsairs base line 1200w PSU. The internal topography is obviously different because all internal rails seem to control any power noise from each other. A small data link monitors the CPU fan/pump and mobo while displaying the internal power state of the power supply.

More power than any over clocked two way SLI system ever needs; Throw in a separate dual waterline circuit water cooling system with dual 800ml reservoir pump units and the most insane RGB case lighting system to turn your PC case into a rave box, More armored power connectors of a generous length...

Expensive purchase cost; Very heavy; Massive extended length power unit dimentions, so big it can't fit inside most full sized cases with you removing some opposite front bay magazines.

Very efficient and quiet. 0 fan speed mode isn't that useful cus the fans are quiet enough you can't hear them much. Being able to monitor the power coming in is informative.

Alright; does the job

Had a doa and had to send it back; New one works fine though, One thing I hated was the inability to control the power supply voltages and rails with the included USB cable; For that you need the ax; Series, so the USB is utter useless.

Total overkill of a PSU but still my favorite!

1200 Watts is pretty extreme, and I'd be willing to bet that 90% of PC users don't even reach 75% of the capacity of this thing. That being said, while the initial price might be off-putting, remember that 80 Plus Platinum PSUs reach 92% efficiency (at 50% load), so if you buy a cheaper PSU that is...

Totally silent, very beefy

Wanted not to worry about whether 1000W was enough for SLI and lots of RAM and six HDD. Also wanted very quiet system. This PS did the trick very nicely. The fan does work, but practically never kicks on in day-to-day use. Nits: I can't see how the CorsairLink software useful for the power supply.

Silent - Mega power - Nice packaging includes bag for spare cables

- Not so far

This is an excellent PSU.

Very well packaged and presented. Installed easily and is surprisingly light for what it is. I'm not sure how to feel about the cables being flat configured. The pinouts are different than my last modular PSU for the 8 pin gpu power cords.

They didn't have it in stock, but ordered it in ASAP and were very helpful on the phone. Good price, too!
