Corsair Carbide Air 740 Case Review

Corsair Carbide Air 740 is a larger version of the £125 Carbide Air 540 that is taller, wider, deeper and comes with a cosmetically different front panel. Carbide Air 740 has a hinged main door with a huge clear side window that shows off the innards of your new PC for the world to admire.

Corsair Crystal Series 460X RGB

After the huge success of their other cases, Corsair has now released the Crystal series concentrating on a clean, modern design while still being functional to both air- and liquid-cooling enthusiasts. The first of the Crystal Series is the 460X which comes with RGB fans and tempered glass.

Corsair's Crystal Series 460X RGB takes tempered glass cases to a whole new level! If not for a couple of minute things, this could easily have received our Editor's Choice award. Still though, the 460X RGB is in our top five mid-tower cases we have ever seen.

Corsair Carbide Air 740 review

Alright, I admit it, I do have a soft spot for them cubist cases that Corsair offer! With the new Carbide Series 740 Air I can feel it, Corsair continues on with the trend that is square, offers airflow and yeah, simply is a damn good chassis.

Overall, you really can't go wrong with this case. I'm a huge fan of the air series. My last case was the 540 and now this case is really all that much better! 5 2.5" along with 3 3.5" storage makes lots of room for memory.

Very well built case; It's easy to get even your biggest components installed and still have adequate airflow throughout; I can easily fit 4 giant case fans (included) plus a H115i water cooler and still have 2 more fans in the bottom (if I needed them)!

You need a beast of a machine to make this case look full! If you aren't running at least 2-3 bulky video cards or an elaborate custom water cooling system; it looks empty

Awesome case and the Best case I ever owned

I would recommend this case to everyone is they have the room for this big case

they are so many cons, it's a big case; I was able to fit a H115i cooler for my FX8350 O.C; to 5GHz; I was also able to fit two H55 cooler; one is push pull configuration and the other is just a pull configuration for both my XFX R9 390X, I O.C; both of my GPU'S to 1150 MHz and 1650 MHz on memory.

it on needs more magnetic filter for the top and bottom of the case; this Case only comes with 1 magnetic filter in the front and 1 for the PSU; MORE FILTER PLEASE

Love The Look But...

I love the look of this case. It's super classy. The problem is the PSU shroud. You have to remember to put BOTH sides on completely BEFORE you start plugging everything in. If you don't, then you have to unplug everything and start over.

If you need maximum airflow, this is an ideal case. I am using it to cool a Ryzen 2700X via a Noctua DH15s, and a RTX 2080 ti, using every available fan mount. Both temperatures and noise levels are excellent. Cable management is easy thanks to the double-chamber design; this looks better.
