I purchased this case for a friend. It's okay for the price, but I would look for something else. It's hard to work in that case and hard to manage cables to make it look clean. 8 pin mobo power cable has to go on top of RAM, cant hide it behind.

- Cheap; - Good looking; - Sound absorbing panels

- Hard to work inside; - Big CPU cooler hard to install; had to bend the case a bit to make it fit; - No hole for 8 pin plug mobo

Corsair Carbide Series 100R Mid-Tower Case, With Window , Features Front USB3.0, Maximum GPU Length: 414mm

Wanted a plan and basic case with a clear side that supports Optical Drives. This is what it is. Super affordable (cheap) easy enough to work with. The case just barely fit a Cool Master Hyper 212 X CPU Cooler. Only negative is the cable management for Sata/Power for the Hard drive cages.

Corsair Carbide Series 100R Silent Edition Review

There are certainly lots of things the Carbide 100R Silent Edition does right. It takes much of what was good about the Spec-01 and the exterior is, as we're sure you'll agree, much improved. With dust filtering, dual USB 3 ports, fan control and a removable HDD cage, the 100R is well-featured.

Corsair Carbide Series 100R Case Review

So you sold that first Kidney to buy the newest and highest priced video cards, CPU and Motherboard.

– Paint job is excellent; – looks are classic Obsidian; – panel and buttons are well positioned; – Strong yet lightweight; – Front water "AIO" install is very quiet; – I liked the reset button placement and the lighted controls; – Rubber coated thumb screws

– CPU access Hole is not large enough for the ATX.; Get you Dremel ready, – P8 or CPU power cord hole is near is too close to I/O Shield and top corner standoff, – Clearance at top is nonexistent except for two 120 fans, – Back Fan reverberates with the thin steel in the back, – no Rubber grommets...

Corsair Carbide 100R Silent Edition

Coming from the lower rung of Corsair's PC cabinet portfolio, the Carbide 100R Silent edition case is aimed at users looking to house their low to mid end ATX builds and save space in the process.

Simple look; Very silent; 3-Speed fan controller

No top fan mounts; Less space inside to work in; Tall air coolers will have trouble fitting in; A bit costly

Corsair Carbide 100R Silent review

For 50 to 60 USD Corsair has a nice little offering with the 100R, certainly its not a grand product or anything, in fact it's quite a bit of metal and plastic with somewhat common looks. The 100R however does shin in its price range thanks to a very decent feature-set.

Corsair Carbide 100R Silent Edition: Mid-Tower Case Review

Corsair are one of the most well known component manufacturers in the market. They have been producing good quality PC cases for a long time and synonymous to the product. While we often see [...]

3-Speed fan controller; Good build quality; Good sound isolation; Features at this price range

No top fan mounts; Cable management options could have been more; Not all large air coolers will fit; Below average cooling performance

new build

perfectly adequate for non-gaming system although ended up changing the fans. Not that impressed by the switch at the back to control fans so took whole lot out and fitted new fans. Hard drive carriers plastic and not very substantial.
