Amazing

This game is amazing and I highly recommend it for those who love turn based RPGs. I also recommend buying it from another place since the retail price is $14.99. Not sure why anyone would buy it for $49.99...

"A great game to grab"

If you are a fan of a turn based JRPG, then Child of Light is for you, it's a side scrolling with a beatiful artistic graphics, easy gameplay but very short (i think it's like just 10hrs of gametime) easy trophies ;)

Child of Light

If you've followed our website at all you know that I usually steer clear of the RPG genre. It's a genre that I admire, but from a safe and protected distance. However something caught my eye in recent weeks that I couldn't let slip through the cracks.

Child of Light (PS4)

Aurora is a princess who lost her mother at a young age.  Soon after her father remarries, she contracts an ailment that sends her away to the world of Lemuria.  As much as she wants to return to her father, she must first help the people of Lemuria by restoring light into their world.

Great story, music, and gameplay; flawless remote play integration

Short; only one save slot; crashed once

Child of Light

Over the past few years, Ubisoft's Ubi Art studio produced gorgeous 2-D games, namely 2011's Rayman Origins and its grand 2013 follow-up, Rayman Legends . For its latest project, Child of Light , the developers took an entirely new direction, creating a fantasy world and surrounding it with...

Tremendous presentation; with hand-drawn visuals and a worthwhile soundtrack; Gameplay doesn't follow the role-playing norm; The multiplayer isn't as strong as other games; but works well enough

Rhyming dialogue can be its own worst enemy; May take a while to get into the battle system; Can be too easy unless you crank up the difficulty

As visually resplendent and periodically fun as Child of Light can be, it too often buckles under the weight of its own aspirations.

Child of Light

Child of Light had all the potential of being just another pretty face for the new generation of consoles without much substance. After all, Ubisoft was pimping out those gorgeous screenshots of the game's watercolor art through social media as if this was the game's only asset.

Stunning watercolor art style; vast vertical exploration; and atypical turn-based combat make this a delight for RPG-fans

If only the game didn't rhyme; This is supposed to be like a children's fairy tale, I get it, but the rhyming was never, ever enjoyable

Child of Light

I come away from 'Child of Light' more disappointed than unsatisfied. There is immense potential in Ubisoft's Framework development engine and the team behind it, and I hope they take this game as a lesson on the path to greater, more focused design. First, the gameplay is everything.

Dream-like

I ordered this without any previous knowledge of the title because, as a cynical and beleaguered man of 44 years, I am absolutely sick to the core of FPS and Racing franchises. After ceaselessly mocking me for buying a "girlie kid's game" my 11 year-old got on the case of downloading the game from...
