Catherine is a great puzzle game. Don't let the other reviews fool you - it's not "like" some other game and it's not an RPG or RPG-esque game and it's MUCH more than some mini-game flash-fire phenom like "perturbed fowl".

As a JRPG fan, it was hard for me to be excited for Catherine at first. Here was one of my favorite JRPG teams taking a slight hiatus from the genre and making what turned out to be a puzzle game with a sexually charged story.

Atlus latest release Catherine is the most mature game that i have came acrossed. There is not doubt that the game is full of sexual innuendo but the real sense of maturity comes from the subject matter that game covers.

Katherine with a ‘K' is examining her life and wondering why she has been dating a man for five years now when the very thought of marriage causes him to break out into a cold sweat and stammer like a fourth-grader with his hand caught in the cookie jar.

Catherine has finally made its way from Japan to North America after a few months of localization. Atlus has made it a mission to make sure this puzzle game is unlike anything you've ever seen or played before, and we can confidently say that it strays from the norm in every way imaginable.

The Mature rating on Catherine is an understatement, but not because of its anime-style partial nudity, overtly-suggestive sexual themes, devilishly-crafted cut scenes, and frequent use of alcohol.
