Atlus latest release Catherine is the most mature game that i have came acrossed. There is not doubt that the game is full of sexual innuendo but the real sense of maturity comes from the subject matter that game covers.
This games is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not remember when was the last time that I enjoy so much a game. Catherine is perfect in very much senses. Great graphics, great puzzles, great sound and oustanding story. Besides, is a mature game, fun and interesting. Just it is a MASTERFUL PIECE.
Catherine is a great puzzle game. Don't let the other reviews fool you - it's not "like" some other game and it's not an RPG or RPG-esque game and it's MUCH more than some mini-game flash-fire phenom like "perturbed fowl".
You wont find a game as unique, addicting and creative as Catherine..in modern day gaming. A strange mix between challenging puzzles and dating sim where your decisions alter the outcome of the game.
The rating "mature" can be applied to any game with a gratuitous amount of violence, cursing, or sex, but Catherine is an M-rated game with a difference: It actually IS mature. It deals with many real-life situations, such as infidelity, obsession, and alcoholism.
Everyone knows about the mature themes of relationships and infidelity of this game, and Atlus (same team behind the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona games) pulls it off very well with some very nice cut scenes.
