Great Game!

There's a reason why this game was reviewed so high. The game: Makes you think about real relationship issues. The puzzle solving levels are just fun, period. You look forward to the next movie event to see what will happen to Vincent, Even though those situations are just crazy...

Catherine is more of an experience than a game, and the random player won't know what the heck is going on. This game is beautiful, challenging and deep on a level no other game attempts to go for, but ultimately may alienate more people than it wins over.

Original story and gameplay; challenging puzzles

Ridiculous difficulty; may not appeal to everyone

Review: Catherine (360/PS3)

A captivating blend of puzzle and adventure elements, the Persona Team's HD debut is a tough, but worthwhile challenge.

Suitable length; lots of nice little touches in the adventure portions; well-done dialogue and acting

Love is Over

Catherine's disparate elements aren't unlike a marriage in and of themselves. Alone they can be frustrating or even a little boring, but when paired up, they become a whole experience that shouldn't be missed. Definitely check this game out.

Catherine Review (PS3)

You give love a bad name When it comes to intimate relationships, video games have always approached the topic of sex with the same maturity of the average homeless flasher. Many tut at the sheer number of weirdly perfectly rendered bosoms seen nowadays, but there was once a time where men would...

Refreshingly original; Bizarre plot that begs for intrigue; Blisteringly challenging puzzles that are all the more rewarding upon completion; Multiple endings and modes to unlock after completion

Incredibly niche format will put off some; Some bosses even on ‘Easy' can prove all to intimidating for the inexperience just wishing to spend more time with the plot

Catherine review – Valentine's Day?gift

An adult video game that is neither exploitative nor pretentious, but instead weaves a fun yet incisive tale about all too human characters.

Compelling characters and a good balance of interactive and non-interactive storytelling; Superb presentation, with some wonderfully expressive visuals

The puzzle sections sometimes feel like a weak link and have only a tenuous connection to the rest of the game; Some mediocre voiceovers and controversial end game

Catherine: review

Originally released last year in Japan and the states, Atlus' mad block-puzzle ‘em up has finally come to our shores. Catherine is a bit of an odd one to say the least. It's an RPG-puzzle-platform hybrid that separates gameplay styles between night and day.

Catherine

As an artistic medium, video games are still relatively young. Barely decades have passed since the first console was released to the home market, and while the advances in technology have been rapid, the evolution of theme and narrative has dwindled.

Review: Catherine (PS3)

Trying to put together a review for Catherine has been one of the most challenging things I have done in four years of writing. It is a rare breed of game, and yet its base …
