with this modifier light is reduced by 2 stops the casing is made of thick plastic which i think is a little too thick not for the amateur photographer.

I have owned the 430EX II and the 580EX II. I have used PocketWizards, Cactus triggers, and the built-in transmitter in a 60D. None of these solutions worked 100% of the time and all had major downsides.

I use this for my photography

I have only had a small chance to use this, but so far I love it. I have a 5d Mark 3 and the camera will controle the flash through the menu. It is nice to have a flash that will work with the full range of my 70-200mm lens. The only down side is the price, but Canon had $50 off.
