Since I used Lumix cameras for many years, this is the change and I am not sure if it is what I like. The features are harder to understand. It still is really good camera and I might come to love it someday.

This camera takes really amazing photos in conditions with enough light as for non-pro camera. In low light situations picture quality goes down but this is what you can expect from such type of camera. It weights more then average digital cam and is rather bigger in size.

I bought the SX280 HS in Red for my wife to replace my old PS S2IS which had seen good service. Have used the camera briefly and it lives up to expectations, great 20x zoom brings everything in close although you do need to brace the camera at full zoom as any shake is exaggerated.

Love this camera! I had a Canon SX 230 with a 14x zoom, but lost it in the ocean. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to purchase a replacement camera, that canon was now selling the SX280 to replace the previous model. This camera comes with a 20x zoom...for me an excellent feature!
