Canon SX160 (No IS)
Its a good cam for the day trips. Good image quality, excellent video output (even though auto focusing is not up to the mark), ideal cam for day time trips. Cons: - Image quality is very low under low light. - Can not make a photo shoot of a stage performance (If stage is covered with light).
Pros:
- Easy To Use
- Good Image Quality
- Small / Compact
Cons:
- No Viewfinder
- Poor Image Stabilization

Canon SX160is Camera
Camera is easy to use and focuses fast. d Advise using Lithium AA batteries. I get many pictures from a set of 2 batteries.Pop up flash(you manually lift it up) above lens gives very pleasing flash results. Camera also delivers vey detailed and sharp macro pictures. The color is nice and natural.

Canon SX160 Ultra Zoom Camera Red
If you can get over the AA batteries, this is an awesome camera for the price and is capable of amazing shots in well-lit environments. It has the same sort of interface as a bridge camera or even a DSLR and the zoom and lens are both great.

Much better than expected
I spent 25 years as a professional wedding/portrait photographer so was not expecting much from any digital camera, much less a so called point & shoot. However, I was, and am, happily surprised with my SX160 IS. Image quality, even in auto mode, is so much better than expected.

Finally
After working with Canon, finally received the right sim card so camera would work. They are very helpful without any major problems.

Excellent Camera for the Price
I purchased this for my wife, who didn't want the bulk of an expensive DSLR but wanted more than a simple pocket camera. This certainly fits the bill, with a wide range of features and excellent image quality.

Canon PowerShot SX160 IS
The SX160 zooms longer than other ultra-cheap cameras (from 28 mm all the way to 448 mm) and, amazingly, packs full manual controls. While other super-cheap cameras only let you point and shoot, the SX160 lets you control everything -- shutter, aperture, focus, you name it.
Pros:
- Impressive photo and video quality for the price
- Full manual controls -- a rarity at this price
- Strong 16x zoom
Cons:
- Gobbles AA batteries
- Too slow for fast-action photography
- Can't handle very dim light

Brilliant
I'm by no means a techno nerd or camera freak so the fact that I've been able to master this so quickly says volumes for the designers. It takes great pictures. All in all, I'm delighted! Highly recommended.

Happy with this product
I have the Canon Rebel but can't always take it with me so I purchased this one for conferences, etc. No complaints other than I was hoping for more settings (night time, etc.
Pros:
- Compact easy to use
Cons:
- Wish It Had More Settings

Canon PowerShot SX160 IS Review
The 16 megapixel PowerShot SX160 IS bridges the gap between Canon's entry-level point-and-shoot digital cameras and the premium travel compacts. The former, lacking a large zoom range and full manual controls, are priced under Rs 10,000 and the travel compacts (SX240 HS and SX 240 HS) that pack...
