not as good as previous canons

I own an EOS350 rebel xt(love it), an A520, and had a A1000IS(loved it) until it was stolen. Replaced the A1000IS w/ this model. The auto mode shooting is poor. Even the slightest motion in the subject comes out blurry, never happened former model.
Pros:
  • good battery life
  • Simple controls/menu
Cons:
  • Poor image quality

not worth the headache

not worth the trouble! it can be found anywhere for cheap(including memory card, camera pouch, etc), because I believe stores are trying to sell them off. Its too slow, the flash is way to strong, and white-outs everything. the video doesn't work, its just a mess. and the best part?
Cons:
  • Lag / Shutter Delay
  • Limited Zoom
  • Poor Flash
  • Poor Image Quality

Awesome little camera

Bought this for my wife as she has had problems with keeping batteries charged when traveling. She has taken it on two overseas trips in six months and it has worked out great. With the 16 power zoom she had been able to get shots the she otherwise wouldn't have.
Pros:
  • 16 Power Optical Zoom
  • AA batteries
  • Clear photos
Cons:
  • Slow On Action Shots

I haven't had this camera long but for the short time I have used it, I have loved it. It has great zoom and good picture quality. The flash does take a few seconds to charge before taking another shot. I have bought other brands but was never satisfied. Canon is one of the best!

Canon PowerShot SX160IS

This is a camera that a proportion of the users will love as it uses ‘AA' batteries. It looks almost basic in its design however it offers a decent zoom and a large image size yet it is small enough to fit inside the majority of pockets.

Amazing

Great camera for the price, wouldn't expect anything less from canon. The stability is outstanding and I'm extremely pleased with my purchase!
