great camera
This is certainly the nicest compact digital camera I've ever owned...certainly a great tool if you're interested in improving as a photographer. The S90 affords me a lot of control over every aspect of taking a photo (while also allowing me to be lazy from time to time by relying on its ability to...
Pros:

Overall, this is probably the best pocket camera on the market for the money. If you need/want the manual controls and best possible image quality in a compact camera, this is the one for you. If you don't need all those controls, get one anyways - you'll love the output from this camera.
Pros:
- durable
- good IQ
- front control dial
- WB trim
- good colors out of the camera
- sharp
- very customizable
- fast lens
- good zoom range
- fun to use
Cons:
- limited zoom range
- only 15s long exposures
- AV mode only allows 1s shutter speed
- slippery finish
- rear control dial spins easily

Canon PowerShot S90
The Canon S90 is finest point and shoot I've ever owned. I've shot with the Panasonic DMC-FX50 and the Canon SD790IS prior to this camera. When my wife and I went to Europe in November 2009 she kept taking amazing photos with her Canon 5D Mark II and my photos from the Canon SD790IS couldn't...
Pros:
- Low light capability with an f/2.0 lens
- full manual controls
- well built
- amazing photos
- great screen
- HDMI output
Cons:
- No HD video mode
- the strap

Outstanding Point and Shoot with Manual controls to play with
The Canon S90 was a camera I had my eye on for sometime before I made the decision to purchase. I wanted a small camera I could take around with me all the time that took great looking photos. I also wanted something that could help me learn how to handle a DSLR should I get more into photography.

Great, small camera with every feature you need.
I bought this camera for my daughter who has been taking photography classes for awhile now. She loves all the great features it has especially the RAW feature where she can touch up her pictures. She also loves how small and convenient it is to fit in her purse and carry around at all times.

Review: Canon S90
Usually I'd spend a lot of time running down features and talking about performance before giving you the bottom line on Canon's new pocketable camera. But I just can't be coy about this one. The S90 is the best compact camera I've ever used. Oh, you'd like to hear more? Certainly.
Pros:
- Awesomely fast lens
- Granular control over just about any aspect of your shots that you can think of
- Slick control ring
- Quick startup and shooting
Cons:
- Slightly bulkier than the smallest pocket cams
- Backside controls are a little cramped

Canon PowerShot S90
The Canon PowerShot S90 is a superb high-spec compact camera with the emphasis on image quality and controllable versatility. The range of features, build quality and results are excellent, although the fiddly controls and slightly sluggish performance are minor disadvantages.
