I own Nikon D300 and I dare to say I am extremely fussy when it comes to picture quality. For example I would not rate the Panasonic TZ5, 6, or 7 at all. I use to own Canon Powershot S70 and picture was acceptable for a compact point and shoot camera.
- picture quality superb
- handling the best of all compacts
- could rival many DSLRs
- woried if the pop up flash would last if dust gets in
- Holding the camera may surprise you when the pop up flash push your finger away
Canon Powershot s90 camera
I'm a freelance photographer. I photograph a lot of events. Even though I'm the "official" photographer they hired to cover their event, you can't believe how many times I've been asked NOT to shoot so many pictures because people complained that the flash is annoying and distracting.
Best Point and Shoot Ever
This Camera is just awesome the pictures are amazing and it's so compact and portable you'll carry it everywhere and never miss a shot, I originally bought the LX3, but it just wasn't portable enough, this camera is great for novices or experts with all the slr settings, and a great auto mode.
Canon PowerShot S90 review
Hits the mark with its design, features and performance. A top-class compact
Tricky to use but great shots
A very good camera, but takes some getting used to as the numerous controls are not as intuitive as they might be. Zoom is a bit fiddly (Canon could learn a lot from Nikon on that one) and the main mode control is right under your thumb or finger when you grab the camera to take it out of its case,...
The Photographer's Point-and-Shoot Camera
Why I bought this camera:I bought this camera because I'm a demanding amateur photographer who doesn- Full manual control
- wonderful analog control rings
- RAW format
- F/2.0 lens
- compactness
- Lens barrel protrudes a bit due to the front control ring
A Powerful Camera in a Small Package
Appearance/Design: Without even looking at a single picture, people have complimented me on the camera. The S90 is very sleek and looks professional. I personally was against a camera that used a cell battery (as compared to AA or AAA batteries), but that makes the camera look much nicer.
" Canon PowerShot S90 Is A Powerful Compact Camera "
After doing extensive research, I purchased the Canon PowerShot S90. I knew that I wanted high quality pictures but I wasn't willing to carry around a huge digital SLR. I was willing to give up the ultra-compact size when I saw the crispness of the photos taken by the S90.

The Powershot S90 is a solid camera. Cosmetically, it is very eye appeasing... slick, clean, professional. It's also extremely small and light but high quality and sturdy at the same time. Not only does it feel perfect in the hands, but it can take a very nice shot as well. Battery life is decent.
