Canon IXUS 310 HS review
Although the Canon IXUS 310 HS has very good image-capturing capabilities, it has some glaring negative points such as low battery life and average shooting speeds. I would suggest the Canon IXUS 220 HS instead, because of its slim form factor and superior night-time photography, and the fact that...

Canon PowerShot Elph 500 HS review
The Canon PowerShot Elph 500 HS is essentially a touchscreen-operated version of another very good Canon camera, the PowerShot SD4000 IS, with a few extras added. Thanks to its standout image quality, versatile shooting features, well-done UI, and bright F2.0 lens, it's an excellent choice for...

Canon PowerShot Elph 500 HS review
If the idea of an almost-all-touchscreen camera appeals to you, the Canon PowerShot Elph 500 HS is one of the best point and shoot options in that class. But it's becoming clear that touchscreen-operated cameras are a significantly different beast than traditional cameras with similar specs.
Pros:
- 3.2-inch touchscreen with good UI
- Fun shooting modes
- including 240fps video capture
- F2.0 lens with aperture priority mode
- Very good image and video quality
Cons:
- Touchscreen menus add a few steps

An Amazing Camera
-Touchscreen interface - While I personally enjoy it, it won't be for everyone. There is a slight learning curve involved, but it is relatively intuitive.
Pros:
- I've been using this camera for a little over a week now and I must say that the overall build and quality of the images/video this camera produces is astonishing
Cons:
- -Battery Life can be short

Canon PowerShot ELPH 500 HS
The Canon PowerShot Elph 500 HS is the more stylish Elph version of the PowerShot S95 enthusiast compact. The 500 HS has a similar lens with a bright f2.0 maximum aperture and semimanual shooting modes. It also has the company's HS (high-sensitivity) system for improved low-light photos.
Pros:
- The Canon PowerShot Elph 500 HS has a nice f2.0 ultrawide-angle lens
- excellent photo quality for its class and a nice mix of shooting modes
Cons:
- The 500 HS's touch interface is potentially frustrating and its shooting performance is a little slow
