Canon EOS RP Review – Canon EOS RP is the second, full-frame mirrorless camera from Canon with the latest RF mount released in 2019. I can safely say that Canon EOS RP is a mirrorless version of the Canon EOS 6D mark II that I have reviewed.

Canon EOS RP review
The Canon EOS RP is the second full-frame mirrorless camera launched by the veteran camera company. While the EOS R was met with a lukewarm reception, the EOS RP aims to aggressively target sales of other brands by providing it a very attractive price.
Pros:
- Good price
- Small and light (for full-frame
- Adaptor bundled for your older lenses
Cons:
- Small body can feel unbalanced
- 4K video limitations
- No weather-sealing

A few months back, I reviewed the Canon EOS R . While it's not the perfect mirrorless camera, it is a great first outing for Canon. In the shadow of the EOS R, we're now looking at the more budget-friendly Canon EOS RP .

The best camera for a jpeg shooter like i am ... Dynamic range is crap Who cares when shooting jpeg! Incredible value, great upgrade from Rebels
This was my first full frame camera, as well as my first mirrorless camera. Coming from a Canon rebel camera, I immediately found a difference in usability and photo quality from my rebel 77D. I found it easier to get good results using the electronic viewfinder and excellent autofocus system.

Excellent camera for landscapes and portraits
I am a long time Canon user and was looking for a lighter and more compact body than my 6D Mk2 to use for travel and as a back up. This camera fits the bill perfectly and this is now my primary camera and the 6D my backup.

- Light and sturdy body
- Good quality stills in daylight
- Reliable autofocus system
- Fully articulating LCD touchscreen
- Decent battery life
Cons:
- Not well suited to 4K video shooting
- Slow burst shooting
- Current RF lenses makes the body heavy
- A bit expensive
