  • Lacks 100% optical viewfinder
  • no weather-sealing (as per 80D)
  • screen-based live view isn't as precise as through-the-viewfinder
  • finish looks plasticky
  • no 4K video

Canon 77D has a real fast DIGIC 7 processor which is capable of shooting great quality images in various lighting conditions. Having the 45 focus points, it makes object tracking quiet easy and keep the subject in focus. At this price, this is one of the best choices but doesn't support 4K videos.
Pros:
  • Fast DIGIC 7 processor
  • 45-point object tracking
  • image quality
Cons:
  • No 4K
  • but you can shoot in 1080p at 50fps

Canon EOS 77D

A couple of years ago, Canon added two similar models to its EOS line-up in the form of the EOS 750D and EOS 760D . At the time, we questioned the manufacturer's rationale behind creating two cameras with near-identical specifications.
Pros:
  • Comprehensive set of features
  • Spritely autofocus in and out of live view
  • Guided interface to aid DSLR newbies
  • Effective in-body electronic stabilisation for movies
Cons:
  • No weather sealing
  • In-camera JPEG processing suppresses detail
  • More expensive than competition
