A very well put together camera! I love it, it is a keeper!
Sweet product! I have recommended this camera to many of my friends:) I will be purchasing another Canon EOS 70D kit for my film and video production company. I am extremely pleased with all that this camera can do!!
Excellent.
The 70D is my 5th Canon and 3rd Canon DSLR, and each has improved on the previous model. It took me (70 y o) a little time to work out the functions which are set out a little differently from my 550 but on top of it now and extremely happy with the photo quality.- Build quality
- Battery life

Canon EOS 70D DSLR, First in Video Focus - Review
How do you guys think the video quality and capabilities of the Canon 70D compares to the Panasonic GH3? Thank you in advance for any information you can give! The GH3 shoots 1080 60fps. That's one significant advantage. In your Review Techs Specs you say "VideoOut: HDMI (monitor and recording)".
Review: Canon EOS 70D
The Canon EOS 70D adds yet more spice to the increasingly competitive mid-range DSLR sector, thanks to an innovative autofocus system.

The box is not properly sealed with just a small little circular piece of plastic which expands in heat. The goods could be returned and the retailer could sell this to another customer. Canon should sort this security seal so you know you are getting a brand new camera.
Canon EOS 70D Review: Video Rock Star
Switch the 70D into video mode, however, and all bets are off. While the 60D didn't offer continuous AF for video capture, the 70D does so, and does so with a vengeance. Continuous AF shooting video with the 70D is simply the best DSLR performance I have ever had my hands on, regardless of camera...- Good still image quality
- Good ISO noise performance
- Latest generation processing engine and technology
- Touchscreen monitor offers quick control response
- Exceptional DSLR video performance due to continuous AF
- 72 dpi still image output requires resizing for printing
- Touchscreen monitor collects fingerprints and smudges
- impairing legibility in bright conditions
- Camera seems to lose highlights to a higher degree than the 60D at default settings
Camera Review: Canon EOS 70D
The 70D is a solid, midrange camera with the core features one expects from-and needs in-a DSLR. But aside from its feature set, good performance and image quality, the 70D offers groundbreaking technology with its Dual Pixel CMOS AF system, which provides faster, more accurate and smoother...- Innovative and effective Dual Pixel CMOS AF system
- solid core feature set
- useful Wi-Fi options
- responsive, fully-articulated touchscreen
- Lacks advanced fine-tuning features in areas such as in-camera noise reduction
- image quality is only slightly better than its predecessor (but still good for this price point
EOS 70D
The video is pretty good. Or at least, the focusing capabilities are better than on other EOS DSLR cameras to date. When this video system gets improved and put on higher end cameras, Canon will really have something!!- Easy To Use
- Large Clear LCD
- Tilt /Swivel LCD
- Wifi Capability
- Noisy At High ISO
Canon EOS 70D review
The 70D is Canon's best DSLR for ages. While its recent entry-level models have been near flawless in their own right, they've not really offered anything that might make compact system camera users sit up and take notice. But the 70D does exactly that.- Excellent new autofocus system
- Superb image quality
- Handy Wi-Fi and touchscreen
- Bigger than a mirrorless cam
- Expensive
This is probably the last gadget review we do this year and what a rocking time we had with this camera. We got our hands on the Canon 70D to run it through our test bench. This is a no-nonsense DSLR from Canon, built to perform in almost any type of light setting.
