A Great Camera
I have had my 60D for over 4 months and it was an upgrade from my Canon rebel. I love this camera, it takes great photo's and also great video's. I find that it is very easy to use, understand and is great on very bright days or in low light.
Pros:
- Build Quality
- Fast Focusing
- Image Quality
- Ease of Use
Cons:
- could use better weather proofing

Allows beginner to take professional looking pix
I bought this camera because I want to learn photography and hope to someday become a semi-professional. With my point-and-shoot, I "missed" so many shots of my kids, but with the 60D, I catch everything.
Pros:
- beautiful pictures
- easy to learn basic zones
Cons:
- a little heavy and cumbersome when hanging around neck and chasing after small children

The image quality of the EOS 60D is excellent and on par with the 7D for shooting the typical family or kids events. As an owner of the 30D, 40D and 7D - I find the 60D IQ, handling and overall performance makes it worthy of the xxD designation.
Pros:
- Great image quality
- Shoots HD video
- Battery lasts a LONG time
- Articulating screen is very nice
- 5.3 fps
- built-in mic doesn't sound too bad considering that it's a built in mic
Cons:
- Slow to auto focus in video/live view mode
- Battery grip is quite expensive

Not cheap but it's excellent
Had one of these for the last 2 months and I have been impressed by just how good this Digital SLR really is. What makes it though is that swivel screen which really comes into it's own when shooting from a low or high angle or just for composing the scene.

Coming from the film era, still good memories of the EOS 1n, etc., I'm very pleased with digital, but the dslrs I've used up till now had always a plastic kind of fragile feeling, or they were far too heavy, being Nikon or Canon the feeling was more or less the same, in this respect.

Great for semi-pros Nice feel Easy to use Great Images (even better with lots of practise) Great choice of lens Bad Points: Dial and D pad are too close
Pros:
- Wonderful first camera for those with greater needs than the 500/550/600Ds or the 1000D
