The Canon EOS 60D sits between the and the in Canon's mid-range digital SLR offerings, and it's a mighty beast to shoot with. It's fast, it has a vari-angle LCD screen, it can shoot high-definition video, and it has useful built-in image processing.
Pros:
  • Fast burst mode
  • excellent high ISO performance
  • hinged LCD screen
  • Full HD video recording
Cons:
  • Its buttons could be better
  • the 8-way control button feels terrible and doesn't always respond properly

Canon certainly seems to have produced another winner in the EOS 60D. It's a very useful update of the 50D, adding more pixels, HD video, a tilt and swivel LCD and lots of other small refinements.

Canon EOS 60D review by ken billington

Advantages 1) 18.0 - megapixel APS-C CMOS Sensor - those remote bird shots can now be cropped even more without losing image quality. This is a big advantage compared to the older Canon models 50D (15.1MP), 40D (10.1MP) or 30D (8.2MP).
Pros:
  • 18.0MP APS-C CMOS Sensor
  • HD Video Capability
  • In camera RAW processing
  • attractive price
Cons:
  • Slower frame rate and smaller frame bursts compared to EOS 50D
  • Build quality not as solid as EOS 50D
  • only partial weather sealing
