Canon EOS 100D

The Canon EOS 100D (called the Digital Rebel SL1 in North America) is the smallest and lightest APS-C DSLR ever made. The 18 megapixel 100D / SL1 offers a ‘Hybrid CMOS AF II' system with 80% frame coverage, a 3" ClearView II capacitive touchscreen LCD screen, a 63-zone metering sensor, 9 AF points,...

Awesome little DSLR

I purchased this camera about 3 weeks ago and it is great to carry around when I am not using my Canon 60D. Light weight, small size and you can use your Canon lenses. I am p`d off because I ordered it through Henry`s on-line, paid $799.95 and now Henry`s has it on sale for $50.00 less!

Canon EOS 100D - A Best Choice

Even if you are new to photography, you will not have any difficulty in using this Canon EOS 100D. It suits almost all the shooting conditions and delivers bright images.

The 3-inch touch screen; miniaturization of SLR design; Rubberized handgrip; APS-C sensor; the Creative Filters

9 point AF cross-type central sensor; reduced battery life; Price tag of Canon EOS 100D

This tiny digital SLR may be small, but it competes with much larger cameras

Canon has always been an easy choice for entry-level digital SLR cameras, combining low prices with good feature-sets and impressive image quality in its basic EOS range. Nikon has recently taken the crown with its D3200, though - Canon's response has been to diversify and offer three entry-level...

Good ergonomics for its small size; Good image and video quality; Simple; easy to operate

No sensor improvements since 550D; Cheap construction

Canon EOS 100D review

Canon has miniaturised the digital SLR with the EOS 100D. If you want a small camera, but absolutely have to have a proper viewfinder, this is your best bet at the moment. It's surprisingly usable given its tiny dimensions, although its 18-megapixel sensor is getting on in age.

Canon makes few serious sacrifices to deliver the most compact and lightweight DSLR yet

I'm reviewing the SL1 as a long-time Canon DSLR user and one that has been searching for a good, small, speedy backup camera for casual use. I'll leave the highly technical issues such as ISO performance to others. I've had a series of smaller cameras like the Canon G11.
