What a Lens!
I've been using an EF-S 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 lens on my old Rebel, which was the crappy one that came with the camera, forever. It's taken me years to decide on a general purpose lens that would take the place of the one I'm employing.

Great lens
I bought this lens as a kit together with a 550D and I can really recommend to invest a bit more and choose this lens rather than going for the 18-55mm kit version. From my perspective, the focal length of the Canon EF-S 18-135mm covers really a wide range of shooting situations.

"Excellent"
I purchased this lens for my SLR camera and i must say that i did try a few different lens and this 1 seemed to come out on top, It has a more imprssive exposure than most of its competiters and helps give the crisp and clean effect most people want from they're pictures.

- Brilliant clear exposure

- no diadvantages yet

For 90% of my photos this will replace my 18-55 and my 55-250 lenses

Mistakes were made
I read the reviews and thought I'd take a chance. You certainly get what you pay for. I won't ever use this lens and now I need to save up for a real lens before I can make money with my camera. Disappointment does not begin to describe my feelings.

Canon EF-S 18-135 IS STM is a great walk around lens. Why? It has a nice range - from wide to mid-tele. It is an excellent for those times when you don't want to be bothered with changing the lenses (for example during vacations). I can put it on, and leave everything else at home.

Great value for the money!
I was looking for a new lens for a trip that I planned to Europe and after reading a lot of reviews on the internet at the end I decide to buy this lens and it was a great choise. Taking photos is my hobby so I'm not planning to buy super expensive lenses but if you are looking for a nice and cheap...

Good replacement for kit lens
I'm a casual amateur photographer. I photograph my children, landscapes and animals. The lens is a bit expensive, but it gives me greater range than the kit lens which I need for even casual photography. The lens is light and easy to use.

very good lens, very sharp and smooth ,great carry around lens, leave it on my canon 500d always unless want the 55-250is for distance.

Nice versatile lens
I broke my old 18 - 55mm lens and bought this one as a replacement due to being 18 a 135mm and not having to change lenses as often. It works well. It is much bigger and heavier though.
