Easy To Use; Fast Shutter Speed
Not Good In Low Light
This is a review of the canon EF 70-200mm F4.0 non IS lens. I have own this lens for just over 2 years and it is the best lens I have ever owned. I brought this lens because I wanted to replace my sigma 70-300mm lens which I got in a bundle with the camera which is a good lens for the £200, that is...
super fast; cheap; razor sharp
none
I've owned this lens for over 6 months now and this is by far one of my most favorite telephoto lenses. Image quality is superb, lens build quality is superb, handling is superb. It's one of the best lenses among Canon's lenses and considering its modest price, I think it's a bargain.
Price; image quality; build quality; did I say price
No tripod collar
Another member of Canon's f4 zoom lens suite, the EF 70-200mm f/4L USM combines a relatively compact size with light weight when you consider the amount if glass it contains. Consisting of 16 elements in 13 groups, this lens has two ultra-low-dispersion (UD) elements plus a low-dispersion fluorite...
This easily is one of the best Lens I have owned. One of its kind. The 'L' says it all. Amazing performance in the day light condition and equally great performance at low light mode. Looking at the images, you will never be able to tell that 'IS' is missing. Crisp and sharp images.
I love this camera... I take railroad photographs and it is awesome. Wish it had more mm, but for the price it is plenty. Photos are amazingly sharp, even with the 1.4x extender. Focus is fast and silent.
Consistent Output; Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Quick Focus; Rugged; Sharp Focus; Strong Construction
Heavy; Scratches Easily
Marketing our Egyptian Arabian horses depends first on eye catching photography. So I need moving & posing shots. I was greatly impressed with the extreme fast focus & rapid shots I got. (Horses never stand still for very long.) I didn't know my Canon 20D could fire shots this fast!
Consistent Output; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Lightweight; Rugged
Great all round lens to have at hand, great for wildlife and sport. Delivers a good quality print. Can become a little heavy on long sessions. Quality robust build as usual from Canon. A great tool to have in your arsenal !!
Easy To Use; Rugged; Great Resolution; Silent Operation
Heavy; Not Good In Low Light
The Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM lens captures impressively sharp images and is optically stabilized. It's a good option for shooters who can't afford an f/2.8 zoom. Optical stabilization system; Fixed aperture through zoom range; Relatively light; Sharp images
Edges soft when zoomed; Adding a tripod collar is expensive
