I really enjoy the 1.8 aperture for portrait photography. I should have done research on the fact that my camera is a cropped sensor so the 50mm ends up being 80 or so but the lense is still great value for money
At just 130g it is an ultra light-weight lens and with a size of 68x41mm it's also extremely compact. The build quality is sufficient to use a positive phrase. The lens barrel is made of plastic down to the mount. All-in-all you feel the price tag here.
I love this lens. I've been using it for almost 3 years and haven't had any issues with it. I've used it to take pictures of my design work, and for taking pictures of my baby. It has a great depth of field. Sooo good for the price
This is the cheapest lens I own and yet it's the one I use the most! Great for portrait work and low light situations! The 1.8 aperture gives great background blur.
I seriously doubt it's a Canon genuine product. Cos, it doesn't have a Image stabilization. It's not Gud to buy. Pls go to Canon showroom and buy.
Good lens from Canon available at a great price from Souq . Original product and improves image quality for close up shots and family photos. Recommended buy if you don't have this lens and you wish to have sharp images with background blur capability.
Original product; Great performance for close up shots and sharp clarity of image
Should give some carry pouch for protection; But thats not a show stopper as lens cover is available
Used this lens yesterday for a sports shoot, couldn't believe how well it did. It's light weight, easy to handle and great photos.
EF 50 mm f/1.8 II is not up to the mark. Auto focus is not accurate and took more time during low light shoot. I you love to record video then this lens is not for you as during every video recording you will get a background sound which will disturb the actual voice of people .
Unfortunately, these are made from fairly fragile plastic - with some pretty tiny plastic clips holding it together. Break one of the clips, and the lens is done for. But if you handle it very carefully, which you really should do with all lenses, it is a very valuable tool.
