Very Good For Amatures

Adverage lens

I bought this lens specifically for macro photography. I have been using this lens for a month now on my Canon T 3i. I find this lens to have a very cheap feel to it and I don't think it would take much abuse. Thats ok because with the low cost of the lens it could easily be replaced.
Pros:
  • Consistent Output
  • Easily Interchangeable
  • Inexpensive
  • Lightweight
Cons:
  • Poor construction
  • Slow AF
  • Slow Focus

Pros:
  • Cheap
  • lightweight
  • sharp pictures
Cons:
  • Noisy motor
  • lack of zoom

Good compromise

This is a reasonable compromise beween a big aperture and big money. The autofocus is a bit slow and hard to get use to, but when it's right it's really right. At the right price, it's a good value lens.

Great value for the money.

I wanted a bright lens, and was looking for a 30mm (the crop factor of T2i transform it into a 50mm). As the price was high on 30mm, I bought this 50mm and will not repent. It seems fragile because it's all plastic but has served.
