I have enjoyed using this high quality lens. The pics look amazing and sharp. It does not have IS but has been a joy to use.
I had the same lens from a competitor off brand and had such inconsistent results, I decided to go all in on this lens. So happy I did. Worth all the money. I shoot a lot of low light, action events and have been totally happy with it.
Consistent Output; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Nice Bokeh; Strong Construction
Tough To Attach
I am a wedding photographer, so I need a really good lens for my photography. If you buy this you won't be disappointed! I can now shoot at higher iso levels without too much sharpness being lost and the image being too noisy. Colours are much better too now!
accurate focusing; sharp; good colours
none
Superb lens. Very happy with the output.

Great image quality, wide open, at every focal length; Fast & accurate focus in challenging conditions

If I had to pick only one lense for the rest of my life, It will be this one. Its my workhorse for fashion photography and editorial work. Very versatile, I've shot fashion campaigns inside cars and move to tight portraits with the same lens
It's just a beautiful quality piece of glass; no noticeable lens distortion or aberration - expensive but you get what you pay for with Canon..
Very expensive
Regardless of brand, two f/2.8 zooms have for many years dominated professional photographers' camera bags, covering the 24-70mm and 70-200mm ranges. In Canon's case, these are both no-holds-barred lenses that are designed without compromise to meet the needs of the most demanding users.
Excellent sharpness; Build Quality
Slight colour fringing at short focal lengths
