Perfect lens

Fantastic Lens!!
Absolutely love this lens! Perfect for shooting wedding ceremonies in tight spaces that I need the wider angle but can also zoom in closer for the detail shots without changing my lens. I had the 24-105 f/4, and the f/2.8 with this lens is a game changer!

This is as good as it gets for an own-brand Canon standard zoom...
Pros:
- Excellent weather sealing

Cons:
- Expensive for what you get

Build quality is not very consistent
It is a Canon lens so I didn't have any compatibility issue with my camera body. The weight is not too bad and feels very balance when mounted on a 6D mkII body. The first copy I received had some horizontal play in the zoom ring. I requested for an exchange and got the second copy in today.

Solid Lens, Amazon Delivery was fine
I'm always a little nervous to order items like this online for delivery, since I've had a couple of things turn up broken or damaged. Amazon has been great in the past at refunding or discounting those items but there's always a worry that they'll change their attitude.

Best thing I have ever bought!
It is extremely sharp and great colours. Though I had a soft corner for mark I since I was under the impression it had a better construction. However, after I bought this I realised it is a false impression. it is well built. The output is amazing.

it's the best general Canon lens ever. It's good for everything- reportage, weddings (you have just one lens- it you can use it for the whole day), family and children photography. Food photography is also ok with this, but anyway i would want some macro lens for the best food pics.

Excelent Workhorse
If I had to pick only one lense for the rest of my life, It will be this one. Its my workhorse for fashion photography and editorial work. Very versatile, I've shot fashion campaigns inside cars and move to tight portraits with the same lens
