Stout & sharp
Stunning detail and as sharp as my 16-35 f4 IS USM. Good for portraits with wide f2.8 aperture, so get out of focus background. I'll probably miss it not having IS as I like to push the limits - just need to remind myself of the old days, before IS.
Fantastic Lens
I love this lens, I just used it to photograph a firework display and walking around at a festival, i am absolutely delighted with the images. Its sharp and very consistent !! I bought the Sigma Art 50 but returned it as the image quality just wasn't what you get with a canon L lens.- Consistent Output
- Quick Focus
- Sharp Focus
Only missing image stabilization...
Such a great lens to shoot with, however my ONLY CON is that 3rd party manufacturers are including image stabilization. Wish I could only give 3.5 stars for this reason. Image quality is 5 stars, features are 3.5. For the price Canon, we would like you to meet what the underdogs have achieved.
Very happy with the output
Superb lens. Very happy with the output.
So glad a bought it!
Wow! Amazing lens! I thought long and hard before deciding to buy this lens due to its high price but I'm glad I finally bought it. It's razor sharp and the AF focus is deadly accurate. I was a little concerned about the weight but it's not as heavy as I thought. I highly recommend this lens!- AF is deadly accurate
- razor sharp
- great bokeh
- Price
I use the lens on my 5d MkIII and there is a noticeable difference between it and my Tamron equivalent that I'd been using for 3 years. The Tamron 24x70 has stabilization and I still get better results with this Canon lens in comparison.
I had a very good copy of the Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS USM but sold it because once I get this gem it never got used.
- My sharpest zoom lens and I own several Canon "L"s including the 70-200mm f/2.8L II IS
- Only my Sigma ART 50mm f/1.4 is sharper
- Super fast focus
- Cheap hood
- No IS
CANON EF 24-70 mm f/2.8L II USM Standard Zoom Lens
- It's just a beautiful quality piece of glass
- no noticeable lens distortion or aberration - expensive but you get what you pay for with Canon..
- Very expensive
A working photographers lens
The original Canon 24-70 f2.8L has been established as a working photographers go to lens for years. The Mark II version has only improved on an already incredible lens. With greater resolution and sharpness than its predecessor, paired with the same great build quality and robustness, the Canon...
Really Nice Lens but ...expensive
I have enjoyed using this high quality lens. The pics look amazing and sharp. It does not have IS but has been a joy to use.
