Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM review by dugong5pm

I wish every lens was this good!! I just love the lightning fast & accurate focus of this lens. It focuses within a blink of an eye, instantly. Focus are dead on with my Fullframe or APS system. It's an ideal portrait lens. Bokeh is buttery smooth, best you can get from a 135mm.

f/2; fast-accurate-silent focus; (relatively) small & light; super sharp!

IS version could be nice

The No product information for canon_135 is not a new lens. In fact it's been in Canon's lens lineup since 1996. What makes it an interesting lens is that it's very sharp, very fast and it's one of Canon's least expensive "L" series lenses at a current street price under $1000 The EF 135/2L USM is...

Canon 135mm f/2 L Review

One of Canon's best lenses, the 135/2 L has superb optics in a compact package with great ergonomics and immediate autofocus. Lenses like these simply aren't available for Nikon, which is why so many professional photographers prefer Canon cameras.

Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM Lens Review

Canon EF 135mm f/2.0L USM is one of the fastest telephoto lenses currently being manufactured for the EF mount. Priced at about US$900 (as of June 2007), the lens is not necessarily going to be the first choice for mainstream consumers, but it remains affordable for serious amateurs/prosumers and...

Canon EF 135 mm f/2L USM

However, will a lens, designed to cooperate with a roll of photographic film, manage to cooperate well with digital detectors The 135 mm focal length is a portrait classic but only on full frame.

high build quality; excellent image quality in the frame centre; very good image quality on the edge of the frame; chromatic aberration amounting to zero; imperceptible distortion; splendidly corrected coma; negligible astigmatism; low vignetting on the APS-C sensor; fast; accurate and silent...

resolution on the edge of full frame at the maximum relative aperture a bit below decency level; huge vignetting on full frame by f/2.0; work against bright light could have been better
