Sharp! Sharp! Sharp!

I bought this lens for indoor dog sports with pretty poor lighting. My EF70-200 IS 2.8L zoom was just not fast enough and I was getting too much noise at the higher ISOs with my 40D. Upgraded to the 5D2 and with this lens I can use ISO 3200 without much noise at all.

Fast; Sharp Focus

Believe the Hype

I love prime lenses, and this lens has a reputation for being among the sharpest in Canon's arsenal and exceeds expectations. On a full frame body it is a great focal length for candid portraits. On a 1.6x crop body it makes an outstanding telephoto (216mm FOV equivalent).

Price, L build and quality, Focal length, fast focusing USM, fast max aperture, size, weight, focusing limiter, accessories (caps, hood, case) colors, contrast, bokeh, sharp..; RAZOR SHARP

Sweet Lens!

I was very happy with my purchase. This is one fantastic lens! It focuses fast, it's super sharp and the bokeh is amazing. Abe's had the best price and they shipped it fast. I couldn't be happier.

The prime to have

Pros: Tack sharp. Ultra fast. Great color. Quiet. Cons: Minimum focus distance. Other thoughts: Great, well-priced prime. Provides amazing shots with rich vibrant colors. Could not have asked for much more.

incredibly sharp, no visible chromatic abberations

I have 8 L lenses, this might be my favorite. It's just amazingly sharp. I can't find any visible chromatic aberrations on my copy! I am super picky about sharpness.

One of the best L series lenses out there

This is a must have for the portrait photographer. Superb Image quality, Beautiful Bokeh, and fantastic low light capability make this a stand out lens in the L-Series.

Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM

SIx months on from buying it this has become my favourite lens ever, beating my previous favourite (Leica's 4th version of the 35mm Summicron for its M-series rangefinders). I use it for everything, landscapes, townscapes, interesting detail, portraits.

Wonderful image quality; lots of detail; contrasty; subject separation; fast and accurate AF; bright viewfinder; solid construction; unobtrusive in use; ..

No weather sealing; makes all my other lenses look poor (even the 'L' zooms that; when I first got them; imagined could hardly be improved on)
