Call of Duty: World at War PC

I have to start this off with saying, while I like the whole Call of Duty series, I'm really tired of playing through history, and I would much rather play in modern times with today's modern technology and weapons, yes the games are great, they're fun but I think the theme is a bit played out now…...

ZOMBIES; Good storyline; Great graphics; Bloody and gory

Back to WWII yet again

Call of Duty: World at War

The odds have always been stacked against Call of Duty: World at War. This sequel revisits an undeniably exhausted FPS setting-World War II-and wasn't designed by series creator Infinity Ward, but Treyarch has delivered a sufficiently compelling shooter.

Lengthy single-player campaign is engaging; fun co-op mode

Unimpressive AI; tired setting; makes us long for Call of Duty 4

Call of Duty: World at War

Call of Duty: World at War is one of the best, most polished first-person shooters available for the Wii.

Beautiful visuals and cutscenes; Makes good use of the Wii Zapper.

Control style can be finicky; Quirky multiplayer format will take some getting used to

Call of Duty: World at War UK Review

A new Call of Duty experience is fast becoming a seasonal formality, with additional instalments of Activision's war-bound shooter now arriving on an annual basis. Madden NFL 10

In my opinion, Madden 10 is a must have for fans of the series and football loving casual gamers alike. Obviously those that do not like football, will not appreciate Madden for what it is, but sports gamers will be glad to hear that they will be satisfied this year.

Better than the previous Madden games

Too common interceptions; annoying commentator

Moving back to the CoD's saga roots, World at War takes us back to World War II. Well, a few snapshots of the immense 6-year conflict that is. There are two main theaters this time, the Pacific and the Eastern Front.

Quality voice acting; Reichstag scenario; flamethrower weapon

Bad weapon implementation; very short campaign; mediocre sound effects; disjointed scenarios; low immersion factor

Call of Duty: World at War

First Impressions My reaction is The theater for next gens war is set. While many might feel like taking a step backward by plunging into the WWII chaos, a franchise far beaten and milked than a dead horse, Treyarch still believe there's some life left in that proverbial carcass.

launched and found some excellent sales its first week, despite fighting an uphill battle against a bad reputation and some at least partially unfair animosity towards developer Treyarch.

Call of Duty: World at War

As I bring this to a close, I can't help but feel awkward in slapping an overall score on this game. Like the many sequels we've seen release over the past few weeks: Resistance 2 , Gears of War 2 , Saints Row 2 , and others, Call of Duty 5 features elements that are superior to Modern Warfare , but...
