E3 2011: MWF3: Spec Ops Survival is astounding

We play Modern Warfare 3's new version of Spec Ops, an endless survival mode that's far deeper than just Black Ops' "zombies" mode sans zombies.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Review

There seems to have been a certain amount of snobbery emanating towards the Call of Duty franchise from gamers of late. Whether that's franchise-fatigue, a general disdain for anything published by Activision, or simply because it's reigned supreme since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and people...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Wii Review

There's no reason to buy the Wii version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 unless you have no other option. The HD version is superior in every way, as expected, and even the Wii version of Black Ops is the better of the two.

The biggest multiplayer community on any console

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

You'd never ascertain the popularity of the Call of Duty franchise based on internet chatter. With seemingly just as many detractors as supporters, the franchise has been a victim of schadenfreude while laughing all the way to the bank.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Review

Now, where were we? Oh yeah, so in 2011 a Russian Ultranationalist by the name of Imran Zakhaev decided to puppeteer a series of international events to sidetrack the US and NATO while he set plans in motion -- in secret -- to bring the former Soviet Union back to the main stage.

Bloody military shooter with disturbing cinematic moments.

Parents need to know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is an extremely violent first-person military shooter. Players spend the vast majority of their time engaged in frenetic firefights, killing hundreds of enemy combatants with a wide variety of realistic weapons ranging from guns to bombs.

Modern Warfare 3 doesn't blaze much new ground and Call of Duty players will feel instantly at home with the game's heavily scripted machinations, so those wishing to see the series deviate from the norm are in for disappointment - and while there may be a twinge of fatigue setting in to the...
