Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Review – Bursting at the Seams (PS4)
Black Ops 3 is advertised as three games in one: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. That's a little misleading though. Including the hidden Dead Ops Arcade II and the unlockable Nightmares campaign, there are actually a stunning five ways to play, each one offering a distinct experience from the...- Tons of content packed into one game
- Easter eggs
- secrets
- and unlockables to keep players coming back
- Dark and thought provoking narrative
- Fun new flowing movement system in multiplayer
- Rewards players and encourages continued play to get better
- Occasional poor map design elements in multiplayer that don't telegraph where you can't traverse
- The Call of Duty name means some will dismiss it without looking at the great game underneath
It feels kind of weird starting a Call of Duty review without me mentioning how new I am to the series, but the truth is I can't really call myself a newcomer anymore. I played Ghosts back when the PS4 launched and since then I have been pretty hooked on the series.
- Zombies mode l Co-op everything l Lots of modes l Amazing visuals l Fast paced l Pure fun
- Campaign Voice Acting l Lacking set pieces
Call of Duty: Black Ops III Review – Xbox One (Also on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox 360)
Feature packed and experience rich. Call of Duty doesn't slow down on this release and proves the formula can still deliver fantastic experiences.
PS4 Review: Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicles
This one struck me as a complete surprise, what with Infinite Warfare already being out…but Activision has brought out a collection of 8 remastered zombies levels from past Call of Duty games to Black Ops III. It also isn't included in the Season Pass and costs roughly £25.
Great game keeps the kids happy.
I bought this game some time ago and the kids still enjoy playing it all the time. Kids are age 4-14, and each one enjoys various aspects of the game.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Review
Where do you start with Call of Duty? It's hard not to wonder, in the lead up to a new Call of Duty game, what the series might have left to give. Gone are the days where these games seemed to actually have something to say about warfare, and although Advanced Warfare showed off some new tricks it...
Call of Duty: Black Ops III review
With the best Call of Duty multiplayer of the generation, a harder and longer campaign, strong co-op and plenty of zombies, including a second zombified campaign, Black Ops III delivers everything Treyarch fans have been asking for on the multiplayer front.- + Co-op play in campaign
- + Variety of missions
- + Heaps of content
- + Best MP of the generation
- + Zombies
- zombies everywhere
- - Overuse of mech enemy in campaign
- - Story is too perplexing to follow
- doesn't suit co-op
- - 'Player' is a very weak protagonist
(PlayStation 4 Review) Call of Duty: Black Ops III
Call of Duty: Black Ops III is a feature-rich, at-times surreal entry that has a lot to offer series fans, despite not always knowing when to say when. The expanded modes, increased maneuverability, and non-traditional storyline distinguish it from its predecessors, and players who have enjoyed the...
Call of Duty: Black Ops III
If you love the series you've already picked this up anyway...
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
Activision and Treyarch inject us this year's dose of Call of Duty insanity. After such a long-running series that always screams ‘high production values', you cannot help but retain some narrow-mindedness before jumping into the game itself. Admittedly, this sort of thing happened to me.- Co-op
- single-player
- multiplayer
- stealth elements
- you name it
- this game has it
- reinvigorated zombie mode kicks ass
- great voice acting
- Having a hard time finding what makes Call of Duty unique and fun these days
- perhaps the game's trying too hard to fit in with so many things tossed in
