This disk version just doesn't work. Game keeps crashing when loading up. Hard reset the console multiple times, reinstall the game, just doesn't work. Very disappointed.
There are some elements around the edges that haven't aged all that well, but Burnout Paradise is still a fantastic racing game.
Yes, some mechanics feel a bit old-fashioned after ten years. But as a no-frills arcade racer with an open world and hundreds of races, tasks and cars this is till one hell of a ride.
Burnout Paradise Remastered is a lot of fun if you played the original game in 2008, and the [email protected] playback is a welcome addition that allows you to really appreciate the finer details of the game, including the impressive crumple mechanics when you inevitably crash. But while it's a real blast from the past, the game doesn't quite stand up to modern driving games with the omission of commonplace mechanics like waypoint navigation, fast travel and more. It's definitely different to anything else on the market at the moment though, so if you're a racing fan looking for something a little bit different (and a little bit violent/smashy) then Burnout Paradise Remastered is a good shout.
Burnout Paradise was one of the most innovative and genre changing racing games at the time of its release, which is why it's not a surprise that fans were exceedingly excited by the prospect of a HD remaster of this classic racer.
Much Needed Resolution Update; Brilliant World Design; Variety of Different Cars; Satisfying Takedowns; Iconic Soundtrack; In-depth Playlist System
Photo Mode Would Have Been A Welcome Addition; Some Mechanics Could Have Been Updated
is the latest in a long line of remasters that have seen older games been introduced onto the latest consoles. The series is now incredibly 10 years old and has had many variations with each player having their particular favourite.
Since the release of Burnout Paradise in 2008, competitors like Forza Horizon and Need for Speed have tried to reach the same heights and consistently come up short. Racing titles have gone stale these days, but Burnout Paradise Remastered has returned to reclaim its throne.
The soundtrack is a time capsule of mid-2000s goodness
Events get repetitive after earning a few licenses
When it comes to gaming's most ferocious "Us vs. Them" debates, few can match the fervour of Burnout fans contesting the epitome of the series between Burnout 3: Takedown and Burnout Paradise . Takedown fans will tell you that Paradise's open-world design dilutes the Burnout experience.
Excellent service with super fast delivery. Would recommend this to anyone. Takes me back a few years.
