Purchased this printer for our business to print checks and accounting paperwork. The printer always jams when you put more than three pieces of paper in the manual feeder, the paper is not a heavy weight.

I bought this product for an inexpensive way to print marketing material, and it has exceeded my expectations. The speed, price per page and quality of printing make this the best printer for it's price point.
I've only had the printer a couple of weeks, but--so far--it works like a dream! It replaced an earlier version of a Brother MFC color laser that died. It's amazing how much easier this one was to install and begin using--didn't need to complete any of the cumbersome steps I had to take with the old...
I had this printer recommended to me by someone who manages these things in busy IT departments. Taking into account the limitations of colour laserjet technology the quality is great. I bought this particular model because of the double-sided scanner facility with automatic document feed.
What a terrific all-around small business, home, photo, student printer. Easy to set-up.
easy set-up simple functions (eg; scanning is quick&easy) excellent quality fast copying intuitive controls easy to access trays cartridge refills relatively low cost to operate & to purchase
a little noisy when operating a very tall printer a bit larger than most
The MFC-9970CDW is built for offices and small workgroups. It's a color laser printer with built-in fax, copier, and scanner, and it features an automatic document feeder, USB port up front, a five-inch color touchscreen (for some but not all functions), automatic duplex printing, and wireless or...
Can print; scan; copy; fax up to legal size paper; Built-in wired and wireless networking; Automatic duplex printing; scanning; faxing; Fairly fast once it gets going; Large touchscreen
Large footprint; and quite heavy; Despite the touchscreen; still a cluttered interface; Slow to put out first pages; Some paper curl
This printer has an autoduplex feature (automatic two-sided printing), but a downside is that the paper tray only holds 250 sheets, definitely not enough for a busy office. However, you can purchase a second paper tray, also holding 250 sheets.
Excellent text quality; Easy-to-use system menu; 5-inch color touch screen
Mediocre graphic quality; Small paper tray capacity; Toner issues
Purchased this to replace an old Brother Multi Function that had been squeaking when the ADF was used to scan, copy, or fax, but which had been a real workhorse for years. The biggest plus on the new one is the scan speed which is much faster than the previous model.
