Not having a network adapter for wireless connection is not a big deal. These days you can buy a wireless print server and attach it with a network cable to this printer in order to print wirelessly.

The Brother HL-5450DN is a fast and functional mono laser printer that means business.
Similar in many ways to the Brother HL-5470DW , the Brother HL-5450DN is just different enough to make it worth a separate look. In essence, it's a stripped-down version of the same printer, with less memory (which, in theory, can affect speed), no Wi-Fi, and status lights instead of an LCD-based...
Duplexer and 300-sheet capacity standard, 800-sheet maximum; Ethernet; Low running cost
Although acceptably fast; particularly for the price; it's slower than you might expect for the rated engine speed
I bought this printer mainly for iPad. Setup was a breeze and works great. Print quality as expected with a laser printer. Airprint feature on this printer is great for iPad/iPhone use and print outs comes out exactly the same as you would normally with a PC.

Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Typically I do a lot of research before buying. Ultimately I decided on the HL-5450DN and PCNATION hit the right price point.
I replaced my aged HP 6p with the HL-5450DN; The Brother is FAST and the printing looks nice and concise along with the graphics
Kinda noisy but when it kicks in it races through the job; Also, Air Print was listed as a feature but you have to be configured in a network for it to work.
This is a very functional laser printer suitable for me as a home office user. Networking is a necessary function as well as duplex printing. Ideal for home use, at a very reasonable cost
The $199 Brother HL-2270DW laser monochrome printer earned a place on CNET's Top Printers list for its budget-friendly price tag and simple design. The company's latest monochrome laser, the HL-5450DN, improves on that model, adding cloud printing and Ethernet networking for $199.
The Brother HL-5450DN is built for busy small offices with Ethernet networking and cloud access through Apple AirPrint; Google Cloud Print; and Brother's iPrint&Scan smartphone app
The iPrint&Scan app can't print PDFs more than 20 pages; nor does it support legacy models like the popular HL-2270DW
I've upgraded through three low-end Brother laser printers, from a basic simplex model to duplex, and now to one that (sort-of) supports Google Cloudprint. Alas, there is a bug with the Cloudprint feature such that the printer "signs out" and goes offline after a few days.
