Automatic duplexing and wireless make the Brother HL-2270DW a more-than-basic laser printer, but its toner costs are high.

Easy to use, fast, duplexingEasy feature good. Easy to set up, very happy with purchase. Wireless feature makes this a very convenient printer and now I don't bother at all with my inkjet.

Bought this printer to replace an aging Brother HL1240, mainly as we needed the networking feature but also a new toner cartridge for the old printer was around ￡50 and we thought as we get a new cartridge with the new printer (why not).

We got this printer due to the high cost of ink for our ink-jet printer. In addition to saving money, we also got a very fast, high-quality machine that also prints wire-lessly. The tray holds a large amount of paper, much more than most home printers.

Great printer for the money, especially if you can find it on sale. Genuine printer cartridges are also very cheap and I find them in most tech store circulars at a discount at times only slightly higher than remanufactured.

A good everyday printer for home use. Noise level is low. Wireless and/or LAN connection is easy to set up. Default printing is duplex. This needed to be changed manually to single page as it was frustrating to print a single page and watch it print once then withdraw into the printer again before...

I had little hard time to set up wireless connection but installation disk directed me to video and after watching video I set it up easily. Installation instruction book was hard to follow. Then tried to print and worked out very well.

Got this printer cause I also didnt want to go upstairs to get the prints when printing from my notebook downstairs. Setting up the wireless was not hard, especially if you use the usb connected option to set it up for wireless.

I shopped around to find the biggest bang for my buck. This printer offers everything i was looking for and works like a champ. I have a Kodak inkjet all-in-one that goes to "sleep" and i have to wake it up to print to it. This laser printer works all the time as long as it is turned on. I love it.

High speed, duplexing, fantastic print good quality, Unbelievable price, great support for Linux (even duplexing). Price of toner, but by the time I need to replace the toner cartridge, I'm confident that prices and sources will be equivalent to the current prices and sources for the HL-2170w.
