Good Printer. Horrible Toner
Bought this printer this week. Set it up within 5 minutes on a Mac. Printed right away 150 pages. The toner light instantly indicated it's low (needs to be replaced soon) is already on. This is a problem. Except for that, it works great. The two-sided printing option is really nice and works great.

Excellent Performance
Outstanding performance for the money. I use the HL2240D primarily for print outs of financial spreadsheets in Excel. Speed of printing is very good for this work. Downside is the prices of drum and toner cartridges. I would definately buy again.

Whatever size office you work in, if you need a personal monochrome laser printer, don't overlook the Brother HL-2240 ($120 street). In addition to being the right-which is to say, low-price, it's fast; it offers reasonably high quality output across the board for a mono laser; and it takes up less...
Pros:

- Fast
- Acceptably high quality output for business use
- Ample paper capacity, with single sheet manual feed
Cons:
- USB connection only
- No duplexer
- No additional paper handling options available

Decent Quality Printer, Excellent Price.
The Brother HL 2240D is a printer that is used within my work place. It is a fast, efficient and relatively quiet laser printer which is ideal for use within the work place or home office. In work I use the Brother HL 2240D mainly for printing letters and multiple page reports.

Alright, well let me just start of introducing myself in the context of this printer . I am a college student which means I have a lot of assignments, as my college, being totally anti-environmentally friends demands everything printed, everything has to be a hard copy.

Brother HL-2240
The Brother HL-2240 is a decent printer for the money. It's fast, reasonably cheap to run and produces results that will be more than good enough for most home offices.
Pros:
- Cheap
- reasonable running costs
- impressive text print quality
Cons:
- Graphics print quality isn't the best

Personal monochrome laser printer
It offers reasonably high quality output across the board for a mono laser; and it takes up less desktop space than most inkjets.24 Prints per minute rating from Brother and woha!! it lives upto that.

Don't waste your money or patience.
The most unpredictable disappointing printer I've ever had to work on. It will print the first page fine, but if I have 2 or more pages of text to print, it prints the first one, then "half" the second one, and "sometimes" the third one completely, than back to the first one again.

BROTHER HL-2240D Black and White Laser Printer
This is just the first week so we need to see how it goes. Delivery was good when ordered and the machine was easy to get working.

- The machine is compact
Cons:
- The feeder for the bypass tray is small
- There isn't any extension in this machine

Good, realiable, affordable...
After lots of research online regarding laser printers, I decided to get this printer. It has a duplex printing feature and had pretty good reviews. It's a basic printer without all the unnecessary extra stuff. The cost per page printing is much less than for any inkjet printer.
