I would give this printer/scanner 5 stars for ease of set-up, and speed and quality of printing and scanning. I have taken a star off though because the Brother cartridges are twice the price of a generic brand but if you use the cheaper cartridge then your warranty is voided, so they are forcing you to buy v expensive consumables.

Bought the Brother DCPL3551CDW and the colour printing is blurred. B&W okay. The Brother help-line could not assist so we took the printer back to PBT who said, quote, "nothing wrong with it as there are no lines on the printed documents". They said they had no responsibility for its performance. We said under the CGA if the product is not of acceptable quality then we have the right to choose a refund. PB Tech disagreed and said they don't have to! Poor service PBT.

Very slow at printing, only 12 weeks old and now in the bin, would not buy a brother again.

I like the scanner function on this unit for the price. Lots of choices and options. Print quality seems good too and the duplex makes life easy.
