Bound By Flame Review
Bound By Flame likes RPG tropes so much, it features every single one of them. They're all here, including choice-driven narrative and karma-determined character appearance. It can be justifiably described as the poorer cousin of almost every RPG that's been released in the last 15 years.

PS4 Review: Bound by Flame
Bound by Flame has its share of issues, it's clearly a low-budget game and it wasn't optimized for next-gen but regardless of what version you play, there are some good ideas and although they don't always pan out that well, what does work works well.

Bound by Flame Review
Bound by Flame has a bigger budget than Spiders recent titles, it doesn't quite manage to pull off a great game, but it does manage to make a decent enough game with a really superb crafting system.

Bound By Flame
The PS4 in its current form still lacks a wide genre of titles that its predecessor contains. Considering RPG titles seem to be the current hot potato, I would have thought that a huge AAA blockbuster would have already launched for Sony's latest console.

Bound by Flame (PS4) Review
Bound by Flame isn't the RPG epic that you might think it is, if you saw the game in action for a short stint or if you've read some of our news pieces on it (fooled me!). That said though, it is entertaining and does some very cool things that I haven't seen before in a game.

Bound by Flame
Flames aren't the only binding thing in Bound by Flame . This shallow, awkward action RPG is an exercise in limitations, as one might guess by the introductory character creator.

Bound By Flame review – daft souls
A Frankenstein's monster of other people's ideas, that if not for the sleazy script would be laughable in its desperation to include every fantasy cliché imaginable.
Pros:
- The crafting system is excellent and the skill tree element of character customisation is nicely varied
- OK background graphics, despite the poor facial animation
Cons:
- A weak plot and a terrible script, with a very uncomfortable attitude towards women
- Repetitive and unoriginal combat
- Bland environments and useless computer-controlled allies

- A few really cool looking bosses
Cons:
- An uninspiring trip into fantasy, Visually displeasing, Not enough to crafting system
- could have been great, Skill trees don't provide enough difference, A truly half-hearted experience

Bound By Flame review
As anyone who struggled through Orphen on the PS2 will tell you, the first RPG of a hardware generation is rarely an impressive experience. The vast amount of content that needs to be created for your average dungeon-crawler also makes them quite rare in the first year of any console.
