- ...that gets repetitive
- generic questing
- story feels unfinished

- Always great to tailor gameplay to your preferences and watch your decisions throughout the game
- no matter how small
- have an impact on the overall story
Cons:
- Nothing feels that innovative
- as if the developers hand-picked their favorite elements from various RPGs and worked them in

Bound by Flame Review
Bound By Flame has one huge strength: the harmony between its entertaining combat and role-playing systems. Granted, its weak storytelling does weigh it down, and its performance on PS4 is a bit of a bummer, but the strong core of its gameplay powers it through to transcend these flaws.

- Responsive combat
- Meaningful progression
- Fitting music
Cons:
- Inconsistent writing and voice acting
- Meaningless story choices

" Bound by Flame " is a real chance for developer Spiders . They've been producing low budget games for the last five years, and whilst some of their titles have been well received - their adventure games such as Gray Matter and Sherlock Holmes, for instance - they've all flown under the radar.

Are you of the mind that a game's story doesn't matter as long as its gameplay is solid? If that's the case, then you'll be in favor of Bound By Flame; a solid gameplay experience that is marred by a not-so-great story. One of the best parts of Bound By Flame is the combat.

I don't necessarily think Bound By Flame is a bad game. I think these sort of games are important for the experimental/daring ideas they add to the over all conversation of video games nowadays.

Bound By Flame is an RPG that's crept up on a lot of people with ninja like skills. There definitely seems to be two camps here and one that very inquisitive about Focus Home Entertainment's new entry into the RPG genre.

PlayStation 4 Bound by Flame BBFPS4 review
A game that had a massive vision but sadly falls flat in most aspects
Pros:
- A great crafting option and nice looking graphics.
Cons:
- Terrible voice acting and story telling
- Frame rate issues stopped the flow of the game.
