A nice and fun game, it isn't skyrim or dark souls but it's a nice enjoyable game and good at what it does. Could use a patch or two. I don't get all the negativity really.

Bound by Flame
Aesthetically, I thought that the enemy designs were great through the first half of the game, with creatures that looked interesting and original, not bogged down by standard fantasy fare.
Pros:
- Interesting gameplay concept
- some cool enemy designs
Cons:
- What passes for a story
- frustrating combat system
- bugs

Bound by Flame
↵ Goes down in flames. While I've been playing French developer Spiders Eurocentric action-RPG Bound By Flame , I've been taken aback by the reviews for the game with the title receiving as low as four-out-of-tens by some major outlets and a general sense of condemnation.

Bound By Flame
Bound By Flame is a game written by spiders, which is goddamn terrifying. They've learned to use technology! They have our internet! They know our secr- Oh, wait. It's just Spiders, the French developers that last brought us Mars: War Logs.

Bound By Flame
Bound by Flame is less of a game and more of an exercise in trying to cram as many fantasy RPG elements into one game as possible. For every good idea the game attempts, it shoots itself in both feet with terribly clunky combat, horridly boring writing and a campaign that you just won't care about...

Down in flames.
When you first start playing Bound by Flame, you're asked to enter a name for your character--a name that is then summarily ignored by the game's supporting cast, which always refers to your hero by his or her known name: Vulcan.
Pros:
- Sharing your body with a demon leads to some interesting narrative choices
- Simple but robust crafting system
- A good sense of weight gives battle some initial appeal
Cons:
- Dry writing and voice acting fail to bring the characters to life
- Weird story and presentation problems make it hard to take anything seriously
- Disastrous combat scenarios made even worse by useless companions
- Dull
- narrow corridors do a poor job of building a fantasy world

Held Down
It's with a bit of heavy heart that I write this Bound by Flame review. After seeing some encouraging progress made by Spiders in Mars: War Logs , hopes were high that the trend would continue and result in a game that, while unlikely to be spectacular, would at least provide a solid experience.

Bound By Flame PC review
A couple of hours into Bound By Flame, Spiders' latest RPG outing, I was assaulted by deja vu. At first I chalked it up to the game's reliance on all manner of tired fantasy troops from busty witc

When we pick up games, we generally hope the entire thing is worth our time and effort, but frequently, that's not the case. Games can sometimes shine in some areas, while remaining horribly deficient in others.

Bound by Flame review
Bound by Flame’s passing resemblance to The Witcher has caught the eye of even those fully aware of developer Spiders’ uneven track record thus far. Is any such comparison at all valid? Chris Brown is bound by a deadline to find out.
Pros:
- Truly wonderful and atmospheric music throughout
- Interesting creature design and strong visuals overall
Cons:
- Awful writing
- Bland
- Severe balancing issues
- Very weak voice acting
