I bought 2 of these as Christmas gifts. Both receiptents were very pleased. Bose is the best. However, both people have iPhones (1 is a 5 and other 1 is a 4S) which seem to have a bluetooth distance of less than the standard 33 ft. So, keep that in mind.
design; ease of use; battery life
A little pricy..; but it is Bose
Bose has impressed us in the past with its SoundLink and SoundLink II($549.97 at Amazon) Bluetooth speakers. Given the competition out there, it was only a matter of time before the company would take the portable speaker concept further and shrink it down to an even more bag-friendly size. The SoundLink Mini is Bose's answer to portable speakers like the Jawbone Jambox and UE Boom. At half the weight, half the height, and two-thirds the price of the higher-end SoundLink II, this $199.95 (direct) Bluetooth speaker is a terrific option if you don't want to spend $300 and lug around a 3-pound speaker; it's our new Editors' Choice for small, portable Bluetooth speakers as a result. DesignWith a flat metal grille face and a solid aluminum shell, the SoundLink Mini( at Amazon) evokes the image of a radio from the 1960s, yet sleeker and more updated for today. It measures just 2 by 7.1 by 2.3 inches (HWD), and its satisfyingly sturdy-feeling 1.5-pound heft and aluminum casing gives an ...
The Bose SoundLink Mini continues Bose's line of excellent Bluetooth speakers, this time in a smaller form and with a more affordable price tag.
Room-filling sound; Satisfying midrange and high-end; Solid, sturdy construction; Handy charging cradle
Doesn't charge through micro USB; Bass isn't particularly powerful; No speakerphone function
High-end speaker harbinger Bose, has recently released a much more compact and portable version of its successful $300 SoundLink wireless speaker appropriately named the SoundLink Mini .
Portable speakers are known for being portable first, and sounding great...well, almost never. Bose is aiming to change that perception with the SoundLink Mini, a diminutive 1.5-pound speaker that connects to any device via Bluetooth.
Sturdy build quality; Rechargeable battery; Extremely portable; Pairs with up to six devices at the same time
No speakerphone support; Doesn't charge via USB
Porchased this for my wife's birthday to use with her IPod. What a great sounding speaker for such a small package. Have since sync'd it with our smart phones, tablet and laptop. Bringing premium audio performance to mobile devices renowned for their tinny sounds, Bose has upped the music on the go ante with the SoundLink Wireless Mobile speaker, a Bluetooth enable travel speaker with the aesthetic and audio ability to act as your main home sound system.
Brilliant sound quality; Beautiful styling; Impressive build and durabil
Could be cheaper; Lack of Wi-Fi; Unstable when closed
A high-end audio solution to truly get the best out of your digital music collection
Peerless sound quality; instant plug-and-play setup
Very expensive
This product is crap. Very hard to connect via Bluetooth. Need to keep disconnecting and reconnecting and even then doesn't always find device. Works only sporadically. Very disappointed in Bose product. Great sound quality when it works but no use if you can't connect to it.
