This would have been a wonderful 50th birthday present for my partner - if it had worked. But, having just opened it and tried to set it up, we are profoundly disappointed; and it has put a real dent on the birthday celebrations.

Suppose to be the best on the market. Disappointed on the sound quality and has no good bass sound. I expected more from Bose. Had only for two weeks and seriously thinking about returning it for a refund.
Pros; Compact; Durable; Easy to set up; Lightweight
Cons; No Bass No Boom; Poor Sound Quality
The Bose SoundLink Wireless Mobile speaker offers a classy design and it's easy to set up. But it's quite heavy and it's let down by sound quality that doesn't justify its high price.
Classy design; Fairly small; Easy to operate
Underwhelming sound quality; Quite heavy; No AirPlay support
Length:: 7:58 Mins UPDATE: Jul 28, 2013 - I've just reviewed the BoseSoundlink Mini and it has surprisingly good sound, I actually prefer the sound of the Mini to the SoundLink and SoundLink II. Both the SoundLink and SoundLink II can produce louder sound and both have more bass.
Stylish, with plenty of bass, but more expensive than more capable alternatives

Easy setup; Good audio quality
Rechargeable battery not included; Bass distortion at top volume
When it comes to portable speakers for use on the go, there are a ton of products out there. The options available are relatively cheap, affordable and also offer a reasonably high quality of audio and performance. However, fewer options out there really push the boundary.
Search Google for the term 'mobile speaker' and more than three million results will be returned. There are few more competitive sectors and, for the potential buyer, few more chaotic.
Excellent Build Quality; Classic design; Good sound quality for the size
Too large to travel; too weak for the home; Premium pricing

Easy setup; good audio quality
Rechargeable battery not included; bass distortion at top volume
The Bose SoundLink Air music system is the logic successor for the Bose SoundLink Wireless Mobile Speaker that hit stores last year. Compared to that, this one does have the crowning feature of AirPlay added to it.
Very good listening experience; AirPlay is a bonus feature; Remote layout is simple; Built very well; Easy to use; post initial setup
Limited feature set; beyond AirPlay; LFEs may be too sculpted for some users; Basic wireless router isn't the best gateway device; Battery becomes an optional accessory
