Bose finally hits the jackpot on this one!

"I have to say having had this speaker for several months now I am pleasantly surprised at just how good it is. I was, as I'm sure several others will be, quite hesitant at first about purchasing this despite the fairly reasonable price (by Bose standards!).

Soundlink Mini Review

Portable speakers are known for being portable first, and sounding great...well, almost never. Bose is aiming to change that perception with the SoundLink Mini, a diminutive 1.5-pound speaker that connects to any device via Bluetooth.

Sturdy build quality; Rechargeable battery; Extremely portable; Pairs with up to six devices at the same time

No speakerphone support; Doesn't charge via USB

Bose Wave SoundLink Music System Review

You should be able to find plenty of competitors offering similar solutions at a fraction of the cost.

Good sound quality; flexible design

Insane price; USB sticks out; only provides volume control for PC sources

Bose SoundLink Mini

Portable Bluetooth speakers now have a host of features, from apps to speakerphones -- and some are even waterproof. Ultimately, though, the speakers have to sound good. The $199 Bose SoundLink Mini forgoes all of these niceties, instead focusing solely on making this device stand out in the audio...

Best sound in its class and beyond; Excellent design and build quality; Loud for its size,

No playback controls; Lacks speakerphone and USB charging

Bose SoundLink Mini

Bose has impressed us in the past with its SoundLink and SoundLink II Bluetooth speakers . Given the competition out there, it was only a matter of time before the company would take the portable speaker concept further and shrink it down to an even more bag-friendly size.

Room-filling sound; Satisfying midrange and high-end; Solid, sturdy construction.

Doesn't charge through micro USB; Bass isn't particularly powerful.

Bose SoundLink Mini

The Bose SoundLink Mini continues Bose's line of excellent Bluetooth speakers, this time in a smaller form and with a more affordable price tag.

If you're prepared to pay a little more for a wireless speaker, this is the one for you. It's not as portable as the others, but it'll knock the others into a cocked hat in terms of sound. And like the others, it has a range of 10m.

The lows are excellent in this speaker considering its tiny size. Sound is clear & crisp when using moderate volume level. However, mids and highs are somewhat drowned when playing songs with booming lows at higher volume. Like others have mentioned, it needs more stereo separation.
