Close your eyes and buy this. You don't expect such good sound clarity from compact speakers, but this one amazed me. Apart from looking like a radio, this topped every aspect I was searching for.

I bought 2 of these as Christmas gifts. Both receiptents were very pleased. Bose is the best. However, both people have iPhones (1 is a 5 and other 1 is a 4S) which seem to have a bluetooth distance of less than the standard 33 ft. So, keep that in mind.
design; ease of use; battery life
A little pricy..; but it is Bose
I've tried loads of headphones from beats to Sony from in ear to on ear and everything else and could never get that ‘perfect sound' but these are unbelievable, the sounds is actually like having the musician or dj in the room ! The comfort is excellent you don't even know you've got them on.
I too got one of these from Myer on sale- fantastic price so I won't complain I didn't receive the free cover as advertised.
Packaged well, looks outstanding, sounds pretty good....... Expected more for what this unit cost. There are others that could be considered.
"Unbelievable sound for the speaker size, long battery life and very portable! "
Just received my BOSE SOUNDLINK 111 a few minutes ago and I'm just as amazed as when I heard it in the VERIZON store. Set-up was very easy, I mean there is no way to mess this up and BOSE sound and quality goes way back for years:) I'm so glad I made this purchase.
"I have to say having had this speaker for several months now I am pleasantly surprised at just how good it is. I was, as I'm sure several others will be, quite hesitant at first about purchasing this despite the fairly reasonable price (by Bose standards!).
Works perfectly just as i thought it would

The SoundLink Mini is Bose's answer to portable speakers like the Jawbone Jambox and UE Boom. At half the weight, half the height, and two-thirds the price of the higher-end SoundLink II, this $199.95 (direct) Bluetooth speaker is a terrific option if you don't want to spend $300 and lug around a 3-pound speaker; it's our new Editors' Choice for small, portable Bluetooth speakers as a result. DesignWith a flat metal grille face and a solid aluminum shell, the SoundLink Mini( at Amazon) evokes the image of a radio from the 1960s, yet sleeker and more updated for today. It measures just 2 by 7.1 by 2.3 inches (HWD), and its satisfyingly sturdy-feeling 1.5-pound heft and aluminum casing gives an ...
The Bose SoundLink Mini continues Bose's line of excellent Bluetooth speakers, this time in a smaller form and with a more affordable price tag.
