Bose QuietComfort Earbuds - SoapStone 831262-0020 review
Bose’s original true wireless earbuds, the SoundSport Free, sounded fantastic but were foiled by connectivity problems and audio / video sync issues that the company never fully resolved. They also lacked active noise cancellation, which is the feature that Bose built its entire brand around.- Best noise cancellation yet among true wireless earbuds
- Excellent sound quality
- Comfortable
- secure fit
- Large carrying case
- No way to go back to the last track with the earbuds
- Can only pair to one device at a time
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds - SoapStone 831262-0020 review
With their QuietComfort Earbuds, Bose are seeking to demonstrate that even in the cable-free class, True Wireless in-ears are extremely effective at reducing noise and delivering high-quality sound. We test whether they actually manage it.

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds review
It’s Bose’s second attempt at a set of true wireless headphones, and the QuietComfort Earbuds are leaps and bounds better than the older SoundSport Free. Not only is the design a lot better, the noise cancellation is exemplary. Sound quality is also really very good – albeit a touch less bassy as compared to Sony – with superb clarity. They’re incredibly comfortable and well balanced too, despite their bulky form factor.- Best-in-class ANC
- Rich, clear sound
- Secure, comfortable fit
- Wireless charging
- Lacks on-board volume control
- Bulky charging case
- Case could offer more charge
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds - SoapStone 831262-0020 review
These 'buds keep ambient noise at bay, while the comfort is supreme for a pair of in-ears. Add that to sound that'll make all your favourite songs sound amazing, and it's hard to think of a more complete pair of true wireless in-ears in terms pure music enjoyment.- Great noise-cancelling
- Fantastic sound quality
- Fit is secure and comfortable for long periods
- Wireless charging case an added bonus
- Design is quite chunky
- Case could offer more charge

The new champ of ANC wireless earbuds- Noise-cancelling as good as you’d expect from Bose
- 11 levels of ANC in the app
- Good seal
- Bassy but balanced listen
- Touch controls initially confusing
- and no volume slider
- Case is enormous
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds review
Their bulkier-than-average design and the ridiculously large case will no doubt put some people off, especially when the latter’s size doesn’t mean superior battery life. But otherwise the QC Earbuds are difficult to knock. The noise-cancelling doesn’t do a disservice to the esteemed QC name, it’s hugely customisable, and the buds sound great too. They’re at the upper end of the spectrum where price is concerned, but if silence is what you seek from your true wireless earbuds, you currently won’t find better.- Noise-cancelling as good as you’d expect from Bose

Excellent! My favorite pair of headphones yet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first put these in my ears, and flipped the ANC on, I was in shock. Bose managed to outdo themselves entirely. I've been using QC Series headphones since my first pair of QC15 many years ago, and I can't believe how far earbuds have come along. Background sounds just disappear, and are replaced with rich, full, clear, impressive sound. These little earbuds sound like full-sized headphones, but they're so light and comfortable, they just disappear. I have even put them in my ears at bed time and fallen asleep listening to podcasts. I have quite the collection of Bose headphones, and these may just be my absolute favorite I've ever had. A++
Satisfied
Love it. Fit properly and the most important thing is the quality of the sound. Even when you use for talk, people can tell that quality is really good compare with other product
