Bose QC20

Yes, it's a lot of money for a pair of earbuds, but if you travel a lot especially on airplanes they are great. I can't say the sound quality is in that price range, but it's more than just about the sound. They are lightweight, not bulky like over the ear noise canceling headsets.

Bose has been working on technology that cancels noise - and in effect, recreates silence - for 35 years. The technology was integrated into its over-ear QuietComfort 25 headphones. Now it has been miniaturised and implanted into more convenient in-ear headphones, the QuietComfort 20.

Excellent overall sound; Active noise cancelling; Long battery life; Comfortable design

Battery brick is intrusive; Expensive

Last year I reviewed the newly released Bose SoundSport and SoundTrue in-ear headphones and was extremely impressed with them. The sound clarity and range they produced far exceeded any in-ear headphones I have even used before. The comfort and fit of the earphones matched the quality of the sound.

Review – Bose QC20

Until recently, noise-cancelling headphones were quite bulky and relied on covering your entire ear in order to insulate you from ambient noise. Earbuds struggled to properly block sound out – until now.

comfort; sound quality

a little cumbersome

Great noise canceling, more convenient than over-ear, not the best sound quality

What I like most about these headphones compared to the over-ear type is they are less obtrusive, and lightweight. The sound quality appears to be about the same as the over-ear models.

Comfortable; you can sleep on them; rechargable battery

Sound quality needs improvement

Bose QuietComfort 20 Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphone Review

Fortunately, that's not the only thing it excels at. The overall device is thought-out. It has a sturdy build, comfortable fit, long cable, 4-button remote, and a long-lasting and rechargeable battery.

Perfect at noise cancelling

I have Misophonia which means I hate background noise with a vengeance. With these switched on there's immediate silence around me but I can hear my music perfectly. It's even good for the cinema - not plugged into my phone they cut out all the popcorn noise but I can still hear the film. Wonderful!

I don't regret the purchase like I thought I would

I got these headphones because the AC in my room was too loud at night. They took a bit to get used to, but I love them. At the price I paid I was very worried I wouldn't like them or they wouldn't work, but they're great.

Comfortable

Poor Value; Too Much Ambient Noise
