Great speakers from BOSE, but a little EQ messing around is required.
I'm not a Fanboy of BOSE, but these speakers are surprisingly great. I listen to a wide array of music, all of which sound great on these versatile speakers. The Bose 20 Companion series offer a mighty punch for such a small desk footprint, they give a tight punch in bass while mid lows and highs...
Pros:
- -Nice, minimalist looking speakers
- -Design and durability is excellent -Lots of bass especially from a 2.0 system -Very fluid turn volume knob with a touch sensitive on and off button -Titanium mesh to protect speakers -Plug and play -Volume Knob has both auxilary input and headphone jack.
Cons:
- -No EQ -Bass can sometimes get somewhat overwhelming with certain genres

Awesome sound!
We own several different Bose speaker systems throughout our home. Purchase this set of speakers to connect to a Laptop in a separate gaming room... Outstanding the power and sound that comes from these speakers! WOW! Fills the room! Very pleased with this purchase.

Bose Companion 20
If you look back over the years Bose has had a tough time on TrustedReviews and has never received a recommended award. The reasons are generally twofold; they tend to be overpriced and yet underperform sonically. Well now we have a Bose product we like, a lot.
Pros:

Simply Amazing!!!
I bought these for my iMac and I am amazed. I did not read any reviews because I wanted to get what I thought sounded good. And these do! The bass is amazing for just 2 speakers and the sound, crystal clear. I listen to hard rock music and I found no issues that the "1 star reviewer" reported.

Great Sound!!!
I am someone who does a lot of research on items before I purchase them. I've had Bose speakers in the past and they sound great, but nothing like these. These speakers are larger than other desktop speakers made by Bose, but they still fit nicely with any laptop or desktop.
