Bose's Companion 2's simple design will blend into a room rather than make a statement. The right speaker houses two pairs of phono inputs, a headphone socket and amplification for both speakers.

I was seeking some speakers with quality, fairly low price, something not bulky, the Companion 2 fit that mode very well for me. Great purchase, simple to install for us basic beginners in PC speakers. It is my first Bose product and not disappointed. I would recommend
Easy to set up Good quality sound for size and price
Not sure If I personally see any huge weaknesses, I'm a basic PC speaker beginner and by no means an expert in PC speakers; I've personally enjoyed these speakers the last three days
Bottom Line? If you're looking for some basic speakers and aren't too concerned with your listening environment or extreme accuracy - these Bose are great. They work perfectly as a reference monitor to check your mixes before you finalize them.
Exceptional sound and depth that will amaze even the most discriminating music lover. I am satisfied with the product that I have recommended it to others. Design is a "classic modern" - seductive and sleek in form that it blends with any enviroment, especially next to my 32" HDTV flat panel TV/PC...

The Bose Companion 2 (series II) computer speakers sound great, look great and are worth the money. I bought these for my wife's computer, because she listens to music all of the time. We can't believe that much sound comes out of those 2 little speakers.
Everyone who sees them expects them to sound like toys, but these are serious BOSE speakers, attractively priced. I use 'em with a laptop. Yes, adding a subwoofer would make these babies acoustically perfect, buy they do have a good low end that's satisfying out of the box. Highly recommended.
Compact Design; Great Sound Quality
First of all I do not like Bose products. This was my first purchase and I only bought these because I was in Bogota and there was NOTHING else available. These were what I expected. No tweeter means there were no highs to speak of.
Readily available
no highs; boomy bass; noisy electronics with hum
Right about now I am pretty pleased with Bose . Before I thougth they made fantastic products but they were generally unafordable to a lot of people. While a lot of us could marvel at the great sounds Bose units produce, how many of us realistically have a spare thousand bucks lying around to put...
Budget high performance speakers
Very affordable; excellent sound quality
Mobile phone interference!
Cons: only a 110 volt power supply and quite demanding amp draw >1.5 amps @12 volts when i had to replace my power supply ( some idiot plugged mine in to 220 when i was on a deployment) Pros: very durable Possibly self limited internally by bose.
